Artists, Construction, and the Facade
With construction workers in the building right up until the morning of the Gala, and their return the following week as we prepare for Creative Move, our grand opening celebration, it’s been a little crazy and hectic here at the Art Center, but so amazing! It’s a sight I’m not sure any of us will ever see again as artists worked and installed side by side with construction crews. A little bit surreal, but fascinating, nonetheless.

Although the building is already totally functional and many pieces are up and running, each day brings new and exciting updates. Last night, the projection facade went live for the first time, and it was amazing. Catch your first glimpse of the piece this weekend!

Congratulations to Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Mark Hereld and Rick Gribenas!
Mark,
Viewing Random Sky is a profound experience; I see clouds lifting, and I hear music. Like the great Louis Armstrong, who defined a new era in music with his superior prowess, spontaneous rhythm, and deep creative gifting, the witness of Random Sky is telling. We are masterfully ushered into a new era of collaborative art.
Thank you for inviting us to actively participate in this partnership, to lend our moving shadows- legs dancing, arms bending, and heads turning. It is no small thing to cast our shadows across a piece of random sky.
Congratulations! Cheers!
yours,
Ann
