TalkingPoint: Random Sky
Our first TalkingPoint was a success! The evening featured Inigo Manglano-Ovalle, Mark Hereld, and Rick Gribenas, who together created the first piece for the Jackman-Goldwasser Catwalk Gallery, Random Sky.
About twenty people attended the event, curious to hear about the merging of art, science and technology; the weather station; and matters of representation in the piece. The informal setting gave the audience an opportunity to ask their questions while drinking soda and beer and eating delicious pesto pasta.
After conversing for more than an hour, the façade was turned on and the crowd experienced the piece firsthand from inside the building, on the catwalk, and across the street. It was an enjoyable night for all.
