Material Science: Faculty Exhibition

When is a teacher not a teacher? When (s)he is a teaching artist! Material Science, curated by Director of Education Blake Bradford, is a new exhibition highlighting the work of our talented teaching artists. The show examines how these artists employ techniques, materials and media in their art making processes to heighten the tactile, narrative and emotional experience of the finished artworks.

Over 35 practicing artists instruct hands-on studio programs at the Art Center and partner sites. While they have a prominent role as educators, they are also generating bodies of work and contributing to visual culture in Chicago.

Come see the show and be inspired!
