Baseball and Art...Who knew?

On Tuesday, July 24th the HPAC team rallied themselves and spent the day in a luxury suite at US Cellular Field. We felt that there couldn’t be a better way to kick-off the commencement of our Fall 2008 benefit, Not Just Another Pretty Face, than to eat hot dogs, drink a beer, and mingle with local artists and patrons. If I may say so, we were not wrong. The Chicago White Sox won against the Detroit Tigers, and now our year long endeavor is in full swing.

Not Just Another Pretty Face pairs artists with patrons who are interested in commissioning a work of art. This interaction happens in an unconventional way by giving the artists a chance to get to know the person who is buying the work and thus the creation of a more personal piece. The White Sox game was our first chance to bring together some of these artists and their possible subjects, and it was definitely a great time. Even though we still have a year to go in this adventurous process, I don’t think we could be anymore excited! If you’re interested in possibly commissioning a work or hearing more about the project just give us a call. Also, make sure to be on the lookout next fall for the culmination of this effort, our highly anticipated unveiling soiree.
