This week, meet our Director of Education, Blake Bradford!

Blake Bradford, Director of Education and HPAC team member since 2005, is a Philadelphia native who does much more than what his title implies. He is not only responsible for creating children’s and young adult’s classes but he is also involved in HPAC’s outreach program. Blake earned his undergraduate degree in art history from Williams College and went onto the University of Texas to complete his graduate education in curatorial studies. Two of his favorite contemporary artists are Olafur Eliasson and Thomas Hirschhorn.

Blake has curated two shows during his time at HPAC and enjoys the welcoming and encouraging atmosphere created by the staff. Because of that atmosphere, he is able to do both his job and to do other things that he is interested, like curate shows for example. He also acts as resident techie when the need arises for some expertise.
