Colleen Coyne, Communications and Events Manager, first came to HPAC as an intern in 2004 while doing her graduate studies at the University of Chicago. After graduating in 2005, Colleen became a full-time staff member and started working in her current position in 2007. Having studied English literature at Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate, Colleen’s talent for writing comes in handy when writing press releases, the occasional grant proposal and emails updating the community on HPAC events.
One of Colleen’s biggest events each year is Creative Move. Although it is a big job, she does not mind working the late hours because the result is worth it. The same goes for other events that evolved from Creative Move, like Cocktails & Clay, Art Thing, Second Sundays and a variety of other HPAC events. Colleen appreciates and enjoys the interesting and fun staff and community that are involved at HPAC. She is a big fan of Surrealism and the work of artists like Magritte.
