Savor the last entry in the series! Read about HPAC’s Program Director, 4833 rph, Ray Yang.

Ray Yang is HPAC’s mastermind behind the 4833 rph operation. He first found out about the Hyde Park Art Center while he was working at the Chicago History Museum. In 2005, when positions opened up, Ray applied to be Program Director, 4833 rph and was hired. Ray attended Brown University as an undergrad and earned his degree in both biology and studio art. He then attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to complete his graduate studies in art education.
Hailing from East Northport, NY, Ray loves working at the Art Center because of all the interesting people that come here. He enjoys helping artists, families, children and teens achieve their goals when they come to HPAC. When asked who his favorite artist is, Ray’s inner child came out and declared that Jim Lee is his favorite. Lee is a comic book artist who has drawn every character from Batman to X-Men.
