A Look Into The Art Center's Model Pictures Camp

Kicking off week 3 in our Special Topics Camps, kids line the halls of Gallery 2 and the Cleve E. Carney Gallery, admiring Ross Sawyer's exhibition, Model Pictures. Nearly thirty photographs hang on the walls, picturing small scale models Sawyers built himself. By creating these domestic environments, Sawyers uses the miniature models act as his photographic subjects, allowing him to examine depth, lighting, and shape. Today, we launched our Model Pictures camp, and I had the pleasure of sitting with the campers and observing the process.
