New Year's Resolutions

What's that? You say the new year hasn't started yet? Well, why wait to start your resolutions? Beginning now and carrying into 2012, we'll be posting at least one new blog a week to keep folks apprised of the Art Center's activities and opportunities, as well as just generally interesting stuff going on in the Chicago Art scene.

We start, or rather end off 2011 with a note about some cool opportunities available for teens here at the Art Center.

Yab Web BlogThe Youth Art Board is our on-site teen group that participate in Art Center public programming, provides a teen voice for the Art Center's projects, and curates an annual exhibition in the space. Members get a $50 monthly honorarium for attending meetings and participating, and have the opportunity to even take classes at the Art Center. The I Heart Art program is a great chance to develop as an individual artist and create your own project, utilizing art center resources and studios. IHA participants get a $50 supply budget to make their projects happen, and get to work with a professional practicing artist to make their project a reality. Apply for the program here.
