In winter quarter of 2014, a handful of artists taking classes at Hyde Park Art Center's Oakman Clinton School & Studios started getting together on Friday afternoons for salon-style discussions over lunch. Led by Lisa Jenschke, the group has been building community around sharing stories about their experiences making and interacting with art. We'll be posting updates about this growing community esporadically the blog in the hopes that we'll pique your curiosity and get you to join in the fun.
It's now more important than ever to ensure diversity in and access to the visual arts.
- access to arts education
- professional development for artists
- bringing national attention to Chicago's artists
