Youth Art Board
Group projects, collaborative work, and community interaction.

Youth Art Board is Hyde Park Art Center's program for fifteen (15) dedicated South Side high school students. This group meets weekly throughout the academic year, to develop group projects, curate exhibitions, and represent the Art Center at public events such as at the Art Center's "Mischief Night." Youth Art Board is designed to challenge young people to connect with art exhibitions, programming, as well as important people and places from around the city of Chicago....All this, and it's fun!
Candidates for this program must (1) be currently enrolled in a South Side high school, (2) in good standing with the school, and (3) adhere to the program attendance policy. Teens who are accepted into this program are paid a monthly stipend for their work and participation. Students who miss more than three (3) meetings inside of one semester will be dropped from the program.
