The Hyde Park Art Center is pleased to present Selected Shots, an exhibition featuring photography by 10 Advanced Placement students from Kenwood Academy. The students show no hesitation and their excitement for photography is apparent as their work runs the gamut of portraiture, still life, and more abstract, manipulated images. Rivaling the talent and technique of many more mature artists, the students’ best work to date is an often surprising breath of fresh air.
Selected Shots,/em> is curated by the Advanced Placement Photography course instructor, Benjamin Jaffe. Kenwood Academy is located in the Hyde Park neighborhood and is one of the premiere high schools in the Chicago public school system.
