Volunteer
Being a part of the Art Center’s volunteer team is easy. Simply download, complete and submit a volunteer questionnaire (PDF). Once you’ve submitted a questionnaire you will receive email updates from us about current volunteer opportunities.
Here are some examples of ways you may be able to help out…
- Assist in our office with mailings and administrative work
- Installing exhibitions
- Assisting our teaching artists at community events
- Helping out at HPAC onsite events and programs
Tuition Exchange
Adults can exchange their volunteer hours for discounts on their own or their child’s tuition for classes in our School and Studio. For each volunteer hour you work you can earn $5 off your tuition costs, and pay for up to half your tuition.
Hyde Park Art Corps
Have you ever wanted to take on a bigger role at the Art Center, get more involved in Chicago art, and really help make a difference? If so, then the Art Corps may be for you! The Corps is a special group of volunteers who receive in-depth training about the Art Center, our exhibitions and our programs. Art Corps is a one-year commitment; members volunteer 10 times each year at our events, in our gallery and acclimating our visitors to the Art Center. You must be at least 18 years old to join the Corps.
