Starting with an examination of the camera, students will learn how to make the best exposures possible under a variety of situations. Students will also learn to handle digital files, create a storage hierarchy and work on images in Photoshop in order to make black & white or color inkjet prints. Through presentations, students will also look at the history of photography and contemporary artists in order to contextualize their images in relation to the history of photography.
