This course focuses on the development of observational skills through work with line, shape, value and form within a range of compositions. Explore various techniques using pencils, graphite, and charcoal while working from the still life and figure models. Explore formal drawing techniques such as shading, perspective, proportion, and composition. A recommended materials list will be distributed on the first day of class. Bring charcoal and a newsprint pad to the first class.
