This course will offer a different model each week to capture unique facial features and skin tones in the form of expressive mark-making and color. Painters from the German Expressionists, Fauves, and contemporary painters such as Marlene Dumas and Dana Schultz will be visual support for style and mark-making each week. You may work in your choice of medium. Classroom discussion, mini critiques, and final critique will be part of the learning process.
