In this class, your individual artistic interests will be examined/reviewed on a one-to-one basis with the instructor and with your fellow students. Mark-making, drawing, and painting techniques, as well as ways to expand upon your ideas will be explored. The instructor is skilled in varied media and genres (portrait/figure, landscape, abstraction, nature morte, conceptual). Art historical references will be offered as a springboard and journaling is encouraged. Bring chosen medium to the first class along with examples of your work (year completed is not important) and artistic influences.
