Taking inspiration from Cezanne and Matisse, this course will teach students how to see the world as relationships of color. Students will learn how to draw and paint at the same time, putting one color next to another, and how to develop clarity and brightness in their paintings. Still life arrangements or self portraits will be set up to emphasize the light source, so that students can learn to handle major warm/cool color relations. Be ready to paint the first day.
