Mondays: 6:30-9:00pm
This course provides the opportunity to apply technical skills to an investigation of photographic work. The seminar portion of this class will explore in-depth topics germane to the creative process, the state of photography today, current and historical philosophies of aesthetics, as well as the role of art and the artist in society. Regular peer-driven critique sessions and guest critics will allow for input and feedback as students develop their practice. This course will help students to develop a coherent body of work on a single theme, topic, or subject. Intermediate photographic knowledge is a prerequisite for this course but enrolled students may have access to HPAC facilities after consultation with the Teaching Artist.
