This entry-level course will introduce students to silkscreen, beginning with the most basic screen filler/drawing fluid techniques. We will start with traditional works on paper but students will be encouraged to print on anything they can fit under their screens! Students will also be exposed to the formal aspects of screen printing by a series of short presentations made by the instructor. Topics will include editioning, composition, the history of silkscreen, and its uses today. Students do not need any previous experience in art to participate in this intro course - drawing is optional! All supplies are included.
