The creation of complex textile surfaces will be explored through embroidery, beading, and nontraditional techniques to create new and interesting surfaces for use in garment, decor, and stand-alone art pieces. Class time will be devoted to stitching demonstrations and practice alongside the introduction to various regional and historic surface practices.
