No lenses, shutters or viewfinders in this class. Students will explore the magical approach to image making that is pinhole photography. This process, however simple and direct, lends itself to a realm of surprise. Class will discuss the historical and contemporary uses of lensless photography. Students will print photographs made from cameras of their own design and will be encouraged to develop individual projects as well as suggested assignments. No prior darkroom experience necessary.
