I enjoy creating tableaux based on the reality of the sitter’s life and or lifestyle. The creation of the artwork often takes place in the domestic space; we have also made images in the landscape, restaurants, and public spaces. We discuss what ideas the sitters want to convey in the initial meeting. I consider those opinions and concepts and the architecture of the space/place to create an image that possesses drama, evocative lighting, and a heightened sense of reality. The goal is to create an artwork that synthesizes and juxtaposes the ordinariness of lived lives with photography’s transformative power.
We look forward to hearing your ideas and exploring your space to create a timeless work of art.
