I have always wanted to make a painting really reacting to the architecture and feeling of a home. Where the inspiration comes from architectural details in the room, the people who
live in the home, the furniture, the other artwork in the room, and the general feeling.
Recently, I have been making some egg tempera and oil paintings whose composition is like a book: they have a seam and therefore two sides. One idea for the commission is to make a painting that links two rooms, where one side of the painting reflects the feeling of one room, and the other side of the painting reflects the other room. Although this is just one way the painting could interact with a home and I am really open to collaboration.
