A new ARTventure for creative adults, ARTBAR features art making workshops like clay hand building, screen printing, and darkroom photography, all set to music and with a cash bar provided by Maria’s Packaged Goods and Community Bar.

There will be glowing buckets of eyeballs, hair, noses and ears to choose from. Use these body parts to create a monster. Take your monster into the darkroom, lay it down on light-sensitive paper and print it up in photo chemicals! To add a little mischief to the equation, each person gets to put their monster on a communal piece of paper. At the end of the night we’ll print the paper up and post it online where you can see how all of the monsters interacted with one another.

With a number of fun, freaky, seasonal screens to choose from, you’ll learn to make solitary prints or layer images on top of one another to make unique works on paper!

Exquisite Corpse Claybuilding with Susan Volk:

Grab some clay and add on to this shape-shifting monster. Together, we’ll build a ghoulish beast that’s never been seen before!
