NFA Space inaugurates the exhibition with a 2-hour performance including a ceremonial procession and live acoustic bluegrass accompaniment. This medley heralds the unruly spirit of art and art-making in Chicago while lamenting the fact that “you don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone”. Also at the opening, 1/Quartely will discuss and launch it’s month-long Photo Scavenger Hunt competition that spans the city and offers awesome prizes. The competition is free and open to all ages. Participants will be judged on the creativity of their digital photographs of the hunted object as well as getting the correct objects.
