This exhibition is comprised of work from the Advanced Painting class at Hyde Park Art Center. The concept is simple– a painting from early in each artist’s career is hung next to a recent painting from the same artist. In some cases, the work spans a few months or years, in others it spans decades. Seeing the work side by side gives the viewer a unique opportunity to trace the growth, experimentation, and breakthroughs that are part of the trajectory of a painter.
