A one-day series of interdisciplinary programs, films, and performances bringing together University of Chicago faculty, artists, architects, and others to examine issues of sustainability–in conjunction with the 2007 Chicago Humanities Festival. All events are open to the public.
11am-12:30pm: Panel Discussion – The Truth of Images and Information
12pm, 3pm: Film Screening – An Inconvenient Truth
12:30-3:30pm: Family Workshop – Animation Station: Great for kids 5+. Work with professional animators and learn the art of animation through techniques such as pixellation, scratch-on-film, and clay animation. Continual screenings of innovative short films from the National Film Board of Canada are part of the lineup.
