Join us on the Third Thursday of each month for a lively conversation and feedback session with artists from the Art Center’s Oakman Clinton School and Studios about completed projects and works-in-progress. Come As You Art encourages artists in all media and at all levels of their practice to share ideas and create dialogue together around their artwork.
This month’s participating artists are Widad AlBassam; Antonio Martinez; Michelle Nordmeyer; and Carolyn Pereira. Come As You Art is moderated by Lisa Jenschke-Stephens, Visual Artist and Head of the Hyde Park Art Center Student Advisory Committee
This event is free and open to the public.
Lisa Jenschke-Stephens is a local artist who recently completed the Hyde Park Art Center’s Center Program. Her work focuses largely on the human form, drawn quickly or painted painstakingly, using the figure to convey ideas through introspection and to capture fleeting moments. She utilizes a wide variety of media: acrylic and oil, charcoal and graphite, feather and ink, clay and duct tape. Lisa is Head of the Student Advisory Committee, seeking to make more connections across Art Center communities and beyond.
