Join current exhibiting artist, Ross Sawyers in conversation with Karen Kice, Assistant Curator in the Department of Architecture and Design and the Art Institute of Chicago as they discuss the ideas and works featured in Model Pictures.
Kice brings her insight and knowledge in contemporary architecture and urbanism to the constructed photography by Sawyers. Her interest in the influence of the political economy on the built environment and the role of branding, identity and mobility in architecture will shed new light on the the artist’s fictitious interiors. Kice earned an M.Sc. degree in architectural history and theory from The Bartlett School of Architecture at the University College London and a B.F.A. degree in ceramics and art history from Kansas City Art Institute.
