Join us for a conversation with exhibiting artist, Samantha Hill, as she discusses her evolving process involved in the Gallery 5 exhibition, Topographical Depictions of the Bronzeville Renaissance. 

During the run of the exhibition, Samantha Hill has been in residence in the gallery to take public contributions relating to the Black Migration and Bronzeville’s growth from it and develop an abstract map of the materials in the space. Hear why she chose to adopt the method of a musical score for this map, what the most interesting exchanged item has been, and what she learned through the process of collecting her archive of black American ephemera.
