Join us for the openings of The Whole World Celebrates Together and ‘Olympus Manger,’ Scene II.
In the exhibition The Whole World Celebrates Together, paper lanterns, clay urns and Fu dog sculptures made by Chicago based Chinese sculptor Ling-An Fang will continue the artists’ preoccupation with fusing ancient Chinese philosophies and contemporary life.
Recalling the revolutionary and unrealized design of Vladimir Tatlin’s Monument to the Third International (1917), Chicago based artist, Kelly Kaczynski has composed a large mobile sculpture, ‘Olympus Manger,’ Scene II , designed to collapse (with the help of the audience) and form one large mountain.
