To celebrate Ground Floor, gallerist Monique Meloche is curating Hyde Park Art Center’s booth (#813) at the fifth annual EXPO CHICAGO. She chose a combination of past and present artists, featuring Maria Gaspar, Tony Lewis , Ben Murray , and Leonard Suryajaya .
Monique Meloche opened her eponymous gallery moniquemeloche in 2001 and will celebrate her 15th anniversary this year. Her Wicker Park/Bucktown gallery is a destination for local, national and international audiences supporting her diverse and conceptually rigorous program. In addition exhibitions in the gallery and art fairs worldwide, the gallery is lauded for its unique publicly funded “on the wall” and “off the wall” projects. Meloche holds a Masters in Art History and Theory from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from the University of Michigan. Prior to opening her gallery, she was the director of Rhona Hoffman and Kavi Gupta galleries and she was assistant curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
