Join Candice Latimer to create Valentine themed photograms (or shadow pictures)  in the Art Center’s dark room.  Watch your images appear like ghosts on real black and white photo paper.

Mary Tepper will show participants how to construct a 3 dimensional pop up Valentines Day Card.  These hand constructed personalized paper cards will be original, and have an element of surprise and be cherished by your Valentine.

Dorian Sylvain will run a special third workshop on February 14th Hyde Park Art Center will collaborate with Chicago Sinfonietta to create percussive instruments that can be played at the finale of their upcoming performance of “Bring Your Own Beat” on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. at Symphony Center – 220 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL  60604.  Information will be available for family discounts.

“Bring Your Own Beat”  – Get ready to make some noise.  Chicago Sinfonietta thwarts the “well behaved” symphony experience with incredible guest percussionists and a raucous finale that invites audience members to to literally play with the orchestra using their own DIY instruments created at the February 14, 2016 Second Sunday at Hyde Park Art Center!  “Bring Your Own Beat” will be anything but typical for a night at the symphony (and yes, jeans are allowed.
