A fundraising party for the Hairy Blob exhibition

Come support the Hairy Blob exhibition by joining us for drinks, dancing, special performances and a crazy hair contest at Danny’s Tavern on Sunday, April 15th from 9pm-midnight. In honor of the Hairy Blob, come donning your most fantastic, wild, and crazy hairstyles, facial hair, or hats; best ‘do will win a Hairy Blob prize at the end of the night.

This evening’s fundraising party features live musical performances by Sam Saunders and K. Serra, as well as a dance routine from the Cerqua Rivera Dancers. Donations and a portion of bar sales will all benefit the artists in the Hairy Blob exhibition and will support related events. The Hairy Blob is a show of contemporary artists curated by Adelheid Mers, which will be on view at the Hyde Park Art Center from April 22 until July 29! Students from the School of the Art Institute’s curatorial practice course, taught by Mers, are throwing this event in support of projects they have developed in conjunction with the exhibition.
