The Art Center will host an opening reception and free BBQ for Home of the Free, an exhibition that will examine what freedom means for individuals who are living in the US and specifically Chicago on a daily basis. Please bring your personal objects, artworks, memories, music, anything that represents “freedom” to you and display it in the main gallery. The public is invited to leave their items in the gallery throughout the run of the exhibition. The aim of the show is to form a collective portrait of how individual freedom is understood and experienced on an everyday basis in the United States today.

The Art Center cannot be responsible for the safety of the materials collected. Please do not bring anything that requires special attention, is valuable, or needs to be returned.
