Joyce Awards Info Session

Learn more about the Joyce Foundation Culture Program and the Joyce Awards at this information session!
The Joyce Awards, the only program supporting artists of color in major Great Lakes cities, has awarded nearly $3.7 million to commission 69 new works since the program started in 2003. Each year cash awards of $50,000 go to support partnerships between artists and cultural or community organizations in six eligible cities: Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis-Saint Paul.
Joyce Award winners are determined in December of each year. The deadline for Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for the 2021 Joyce Awards is April 12, 2020.
This session is free and open to artists, cultural and community organization staff, and the general public and provides an in-person opportunity to learn more about the Joyce Awards and gain insight into the application process.
