Following two panels exploring public art and its relationships to Chicago communities, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) invites public artists, community organizers, craftspeople, curators, business owners, and designers to an intensive convening at the Hyde Park Art Center.
Capacity is limited to 30 participants; attendance is free but an application to attend is required. *Please note: completion of this registration form does not guarantee acceptance to the event.*
Convening participants will:

Find new collaborators for timely projects.
Learn about multiple opportunities for funding their work .
Receive in-depth support around three core areas of public art projects: community engagement, City permits and processes, and grant proposal development.
Contribute ideas to a plan for public art professional development in 2020.
