For over 70 years, the Hyde Park Art Center has supported emerging Chicago artists and connected them to Chicago’s diverse community, believing that when you put artists and the public in direct contact creativity and possibilities emerge.

In this light, Party…with an Artist will be a chance for you to meet some of Chicago’s talented artists and go home with a piece of their work.

To continue the fun and conversations, we’re hosting an informal after party at Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar. But wait…there’s more. Paired with each art work will be an item that the artist may choose to share with the winning patron (like a bottle of wine, or gift certificate for coffee), to encourage these supportive patrons and talented artists to stay in touch beyond this one event. That’s one of the great things about contemporary–we can get to know the people that produce it.
