Second Sunday

June 13, 2010 @ 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Join us for this FREE drop in day of art activities and performances and treat the entire family to a chance to explore their creativity at the Art Center! This month, teaching artist Jessi Walsh will be doing a Spatial City inspired workshop. And, weather permitting, we’ll be moving the art making outside. Yay!!! The Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust will also be on hand to do their Family Froebel Block and Pentomino Drop-in Workshop! American architect Frank Lloyd Wright credited Froebel blocks with inspiring his innovative Prairie style. Now your family can experience Froebel blocks as well as the 3-dimensional Pentominos, the problem-solving toy in Blue Balliett’s mystery novel The Wright 3. Observe, create, reflect, think, problem-solve and challenge your design skills. Part of the Hyde Park Art Center’s Second Sunday family day.
