Ground Floor artist Anna Showers-Cruser will be leading a felted bead-making workshop! These can be turned to jewelry or made into a fiber sculpture. We will use simple techniques that are used in the artist’s work and can be done by artists of any age, with a little wool, some dish soap and a dash of elbow grease!
In his Creating Sculptural Moments workshop, Ground Floor artist Norman Teague will guide groups through a 3D exercise from Rowena Reed Kostellow’s practice that allows visitors to decipher their very own sculptures.
Students give personal value to their objects by joining three different shapes: a dominant, a sub-dominant and a subordinate arrange in a way that they find to beautiful and naming there works. This exercise is for children and adults to make creative decisions in proportion, scale and form.
