Susan Giles Talk at the Arts Club with Tony Macaluso

 Art Center exhibiting artist, Susan Giles, talks with Tony Macaluso, regarding viewing a city from above. Giles current exhibition Scenic Overlook considers the relationship between humans, skyscrapers and the city and how observing our surroundings from the observation deck of a skyscraper like the Willis Tower effects our understanding of life below. Macaluso is currently writing a book on the topic of aerial perspective and urban planning. This event will take place off-site at The Arts Club of Chicago. Tony Macaluso is Director of Network Syndication at The WFMT Radio Network and manages the Studs Terkel Radio Archive.Susan Giles is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary artist who currently teaches at DePaul University and will begin as full-time faculty at the School of the Art Institute for Fall 2015.If you are interested in attending the talk please email exhibitions@hydeparkart.org to RSVP by June 24th.
