Podcasts… Blogs… Wikis… Mashups… MP3s… iPods… MySpace… YouTube… Flash… Facebook. We are all witnesses to the media hype surrounding the impact of these technologies on youth culture, but we rarely have opportunities to hear the perspectives of real artists working with youth, or youth artists themselves. In this interactive workshop, panelists representing local arts organizations will present innovative digital media projects created with youth in school and community-based contexts, and critically examine the impact of new technologies on art education and youth creative production.
