The Quirky Citizens Alliance-Chicago is a community organization fostering equality without sameness for people with Neurodiversity and Disability. One of the best ways to do that is to empower a unified coalition through the creation of a space for meaningful personal interaction. These meetings are generally open social events with a little bit of advocacy. We take a few minutes to run down needs for upcoming projects, alert each other to upcoming advocacy events, check in with how the QCA is meeting the group’s needs, and then spend the rest of our time socially. There may be occasions when we bring our own snacks, board games, music, etc. This event is part of The Living Room in the D’Angelo Library at HPAC. The Living Room is a series of programs that encompass the world around the arts and how it effects those who live within it. Join us for yoga, music, poetry, & space to dialogue around both difficult and joyful topics.
