Join in these step by step instructions to create a small pouch using reusable materials and a weaving technique – it’s fun, easy, and good way to repurpose plastic bags!

Rhythmic Residency Artist Talk with Turtel Onli @ 2-3pm via Zoom


Join Flex Resident Artist, Turtel Onli, for an artist talk on the influence of comic books on his practice, the influence of the Southside and his “Rhythmistic Quilts” body-of-work that channels his future-primitif re-contextualization of selected world icons. Onli’s work seeks to create a universal expression that overrides “otherness” with a creative expression of ‘us’ across cultures, racial limits and eras.

Join the artist led non-profit, alt_ , for a workshop on wheat pasting inspired by “Project Stamp,” their cornerstone initiative that takes free family photos of Austin residents and utilizes public space to photograph and wheat paste images on abandoned spaces to activate, create visibility, and build community. Learn how to wheat paste on your own, and start your own initiative to create a public archive, stamp narratives ,and bring people together.
