At Hyde Park Art Center, we offer versatile spaces perfect for a wide range of events, from workshops and meetings to special celebrations. Our facilities are designed to inspire creativity and community, providing the ideal setting for your next gathering.

Hyde Park Art Center Rental Guidelines
Availability
- Rooms Available:
- Mueller Meeting Room: Capacity of 40 (25 seated with tables, 30 theater-style, 40 standing). Includes tables, chairs, and projector. Ideal for meetings, retreats, meet and greets, trainings, and film screenings or presentations. This is a flex space.
- Partnership Studio: Capacity of 25. Includes four round tables, chairs, and projector. Ideal for workshops and art-making activities. This is not a flex space.
- 4833-Library: Capacity of 50. Includes tables and chairs only. This space is exclusively used for community events that are free and open to the public. This is a flex space.
- Hours: Available during business hours, up to 30 minutes before closing.
- Restrictions: 4833-Library is only available for community events that are free and open to the public. Rental of other spaces does not guarantee access to the entire Art Center.
Booking & Fees
- Rates: $120/hour (private events), $50/hour (nonprofits & community events)
- Payment: Required at booking. Accepted methods: cash, check, card.
- Cancellation: $25 fee for cancellations with two weeks’ notice; 50% of payment will be retained for cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice.
- Changes: Must be made in writing at least two weeks in advance and may incur additional charges.
Start and End Times
- Times: Rental times include set-up and clean-up. Events must end at least 30 minutes before closing.
- Overtime: $20 fee for every 5 minutes past agreed end time.
Equipment & Decoration
- Available: Tables, chairs, and projector (renters must bring a laptop).
- Setup: Renters are responsible for set-up and clean-up, including taking food waste out to the dumpster.
- Decorations: No Art Center-provided decorations. Decorations cannot be taped or pinned to walls without permission.
Food & Beverages
- Catering: Not provided by the Art Center. Notify staff one week in advance of catering arrangements. Renters are responsible for all licenses and fees.
Clean Up
- Responsibility: Renters must clean the space, including food, beverages, and garbage disposal to the dumpster in the parking lotl. Any damage or loss will be charged to the renter.
Parking
- Availability: Free street parking is available but limited and not guaranteed. Renters must arrange parking.
Sales
- Merchandise: Renters are responsible for managing sales, transactions, and payment processing.
