20th Annual Hyde Park Art Center Members’ Show

Judged by Tom Delinger, Deonne Jackman, and Tom Mapp, this exhibition featured works by Hyde Park Art Center members in a variety of media including photography, works on paper, paintings, and various craft techniques. The exhibition provided Art Center members with he opportunity to exhibit their work in a gallery setting and compete for awards given by a jury.

The prize in photography went to Valerie Burke for her photo that juxtaposed close-ups of fingers with rocks, in a overlap format. Honorable mentions in photography went to Darell Bock for a black and white composition, and to Ron Grenko for a print consisting of two small Lucite squares. Honorable mentions in mixed media went to Monica Bock for her piece of glycerin soap with staples, Craig Newsom’s The Conductor, Virgina Jachma’s Margaret the Organizer, Mary Lou Novak’s Dream Pillows, and Joe Vojacek’s Low and Inside. Painting’s honorable mentions were awarded to Portia Hein and to Janice Greers for Street Woman. Danford Ledd’s Space-Ship Cannot Land won the honorable mention in works on paper.
