Doppelganger

Shadows will come to life with Doppelganger, a new digital projection by the Chicago-based artist collaborative Luftwerk. Viewed from both the interior and exterior of the Art Center’s Jackman Goldwasser Catwalk Gallery, Doppelganger depicts reversed shadows of individuals, or “light bodies,” transforming the facade into a brightly populated “walk of life.” Each shadow image features a voice as part of the artwork’s soundtrack making unspoken thoughts audible and inviting the viewer to reflect on these thoughts while walking along the projection screens.
