Just Good Art 2009

In celebration of the Center’s 70th Anniversary, Just Good Art will feature pieces by over 80 Chicago artists, returns on Saturday, October 24 at 7pm. This year’s auction exhibition features new works by some of Chicago’s well known as well as emerging artists. In celebration of the Center’s 70th Anniversary, Just Good Art will feature pieces by over 80 artists who have exhibited at the Center throughout its 70 year history.

Fine art auctioneer, Robyn Farrell Roulo from the Leslie Hindman Auctioneers will continue Just Good Art’s tradition of being Chicago’s favorite affordable contemporary art auction, by guiding the evening. The works included in the auction will be available online. Keep posted to this site. If you wish to place a proxy bid, please call Christina Jensen at the Art Center 773.324.5520 before Friday, Oct. 23rd at 5 pm. The live auction takes place on Saturday, October 24th at 7 pm. The event includes an evening of drinks, music, food and bidding for your favorite works of art. Tickets for the auction are $30 for members and $35 for the general public. Advance bids on auction items are accepted and proxy bidding can be arranged in advance through the Art Center. Valet parking will be available for $10. Just Good Art continues the tradition of catering to both novice and seasoned art collectors by offering a unique opportunity to purchase new works by well-respected artists at very reasonable costs while supporting Chicago’s oldest alternative art institution. All proceeds from the auction go to the Hyde Park Art Center’s Exhibitions and Education programming.
