Since September 2005, Chicago artist, Mary Tepper has worked with 7th and 8th graders through the Art Center’s outreach program to compose and construct a painted mural for permanent display at Canter Middle School. The young artists have created their imagery by drawing upon immediate resources from their community, their school and the city. This exhibition is the first public unveiling of the mural. Canter Middle School is a Chicago public school located in the Kenwood neighborhood at 4950 S. Blackstone Avenue.
